Crew, when I brought car out of storage right front caliper showed signs of leaking, wet pads and rotor. I replaced it. Now she pulls to the left, I think it may be the fluid soaked into the pads from the leaking. I was hoping that it may work it self out. I have put 150 miles on now and still the same pulling. Can I clean the pads with brake clean or something. Or just toss and put in new ? (they have no wear)
When going down the road it runs true no drag detected so I don't think anything is stuck.

I would put new pads on, also check to see if the right side caliper is working right, if it doesnt apply pressure it will pull to the left because that one is working. Just a thought.

It is usually a good idea to replace calipers in pairs, then bleed the entire system.  Brake pads will never clean themselves.  For the price of a set of pads, isn't that cheap insurance?

Thanks Fred. I'll lift that tire off the ground tonight and check the brakes. Agree Larry Pad's are cheap.....and brakes are good thing to have. All the calipers where replaced with SS last time I had it on the road, but that was like 1993.ebo2008-07-08 09:04:35

The fluid soaked pads are NOT going to grab very well, hence the pull to the opposite side...replace the pads, and you should be stopping straight again.
As Larry says, the pads will never clean themselves of brake fluid, no matter how hot ya get them!

Jsut for grins also check the brake hose to the caliper.  If the seals went bad, the hose may have done the same thing.  A failed hose will keep a brake from applying and make a pull on the other side.

Ken, hose looked good bled out ok and new crush washer seemed to seat fine. I'm thinking the soaked pads. Doing some camping here for a few days so will have to wait until next week.
