The good news is i have my brakes completed.The bad news is ( sorry about spelling) the porportional valve is bad ,I cann't get pedel to hold pressure.I have good flow of brake fuild coming out of the bleeders.Nobody local it seems will touch a porportional valve.Ecklers has dicontinued theirs(they do have it in chrome not what I want) but I did find them in brass and aluminum.So my question is dose it make a differance what they are made out of? I have found them elsewhere but I am tring to stay within my budget.

When Ecklers carried them (I didn't know they stopped) they offered both brass and aluminum. The brass was twice the cost of alum. so I bought the cheaper. Just be ever so careful of the angle of approach on those flare nuts (no matter which material you choose) when restarting those lines, as it wouldn't be hard to mess up the threads. Use a mirror on the top side if you must, but be sure you're starting correctly before forcing anything. Spray them repeatedly with penetrating fluid before removing , some don't break loose easily after being untouched for 30yrs. and you'd like to avoid damaging the nuts with vise grips. Flaring wrenches work the best and they're worth the investment even if you don't use them that often.

Try pushing the reset pin on the valve and then see if you have peddle.......Bill
