I kept eyeballing this cause it just didn't look right. I didn't catch it untill I started to clean it up. The left spring clip is tack welded onto the fork.Wits%20End

Probably seemed like an economical repair at the time. Just buying some time until it could be replaced. It's time for you to replace it.
