, start drilling, those rivits are hard hard, it was hard doing em on the bench, step drill and try not to make the holes bigger than it takes to get the bolts in
Is it possible to grind the head or tail off and drive it out?
You can grind the outside head of the rivet off, and then use a punch to knock the other side off. Be carefull not to grind into the control arm. Knocking it out from the outside in is the best way; the rivets are tapered, and its really hard to knock them out from the inside of the control arms, on top of being really hard to get to them to beat the crap out of!!!
Maybe I'll try grinding the outside, then drilling... will be less to drill...

Taking the rivets out was the easy part... Getting the bushings out of the Control arm was harder.
I ground the heads of the rivets down..(one handed at the time) and my B-I-L drove them out using a punch...wasn't too bad.

I'm getting ready to order parts.. and was wondering if anyone has a preference on Ball Joint Brands.
Moog... TRW... or other...
Thanks...

Trade secrets like C3VR members
I drilled the rivets out of the upper control arm, I had it out on a bench and started with a small drill bit to get it centered and continued stepping up untill the head came off and then knocked it out with a punch and hammer, I only drillled deep enough to get into the head, so you dont have worryabout enlarging the holes as much.
Either of these brands will be perfect. I use Moog stuff for the most part, but TRW is high quality also.
