Vette(s): not yet.
Hi Guys , I'm a tad confused. I just bought my dreamcar, last August, Our Winters up here (Montreal) make it impossible to drive all year. My '80 , came to me with ,
255R60-15's on the front (half worn) and on the rear,
275R60-15's (new). I'm thinking of mounting 225R70's all
around , yet , my Vette garage guys, insist, that 255R60's are only way to go. (B.F.Goodrich T.A. 's I think would look AND ride well.
What is the norm.

P225/70R-15's are the standard size for your car...P255/60R-15 are optional. They're both the same height. Everything else being equal, the 60 series will handle somewhat better and require a bit more steering effort. The 70 series will ride better. For general cruising and not racing, the 70 series will serve your purposes admirably.

You won't go wrong with BFG's. I have BFG Radial T/A's on my '78 and think they're excellent tires, but there are many good brands you can buy. I just think the BFG's are great tires for the money.
