I just installed I guess factory spring and now it sits to high. I want to lower the front stance but I also want a good non stiff ride. coilovers? shorter springs new shocks? I have a 80 want to go lowest I can go but want a touring ride. any sugestions ?

The shorter springs I am thinking of are thicker stock with less turns and are meant to maintain the stock ride height. There may be a spring to lower the front, but I haven't seen one...

You can just cut off some spring. Remove the spring, and use a cut off wheel. Remove a little at a time, as you cannot add any back on if it gets too low. It will get a little stiffer as you cut more off, but not bad unless you cut off quite a bit.

please just do not do the redneck thing and use a torch. cut off wheel only. heat will ruin the springs.
