Changing A Flat

Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary... Almost all original/correct L48 auto,59k miles, oyster.
What are some good ways to handle a flat if you can't physically do it (heart/stroke). 
 
Also how do you guys feel about Flat- Fix and those charge holder/compressors?

Dang...tha kinda limits the responses!

I have seen some really trick lug wrenches that take almost no "grunt" to operate. They have a gear-drive/reduction set-up, and are made for removing/replacing tight lug-nuts, with little effort. I've never used one, so I can't say if they work. I did used to have a similar set-up for my big rig wheels. Don't know if this type of wrench would help you, but it might. I'll check and see if I can find one, and post the info.

I personally HATE fix-a-flat, but, in an emergency situation, ya gotta do what ya can to get down the road. I prefer using "tire plugs", and keeping a portable 12v compressor on board when traveling. Most of the portable compressors take a while to air a tire up, but, you weren't going anywhere, anyway...no?Adams' Apple2006-10-30 20:58:05

Yeah, it works, at least it did the one time I used it on a Toyota.  Just call AAA and they will come fix it for ya! Big%20smile  I have AAA, but I changed my own flat and didn't call them........go figure.........Wacko

Searching eBay for something else I stumbled on this that would make lifting the vehicle easier.  You still have the issue of getting the spare out of the carrier.  That's not the easiest thing to do for a lot of folks.
