Does anyone know of a dependable source where I can obtain chrome replacement wheels for my 78. I want the original style, chromed not polished.

Vette(s): 1979 Black on Black, heavily modified. 1975 Orange, bone stock (for now).
If you already have the wheels, why not polish them and get them chromed, it is lot less than 1000$. Just my opion. |cheers|

I got my OEM aluminum wheels chrome-plated in Jan. of '02 for less than $600.00, INCLUDING shipping via UPS & insurance!!! They are immaculate; best $ I've ever spent on a car! If any C3-members are interested, send me an E-mail, and I'll give you the company (outside of D.C.) name & number..... |thumb|

Vette(s): 1981 red corvette, black interior, 4 speed manual transmission, runs great, 104,345 milles, owned the vette for 14 years, mirrored T-tops.
What is the name of the company that chromed your aluminum wheels? Are they holding up well? Are they hard to keep clean and how durable are they? |saluteflag|

My aluminum wheels were chrome-plated in January of '02 by EAST COAST PLATING, Capital Heights, Md. (just outside of D.C.). Their phone # is: 301/350-0393, and I dealt with 'Vince'. They were $135/each, and they've held-up GREAT! I wash them before the brakes (and wheels) get hot (so they won't 'spot') with water and a wash-mit. Chevrolet shoulda done this THEMSELVES; why they didn't |blinkyeyes| |ohwell| |headscratch| If I can help anybody else, gimme an E-mail.....
