I took a look at a composite rear spring for my car from VBandP.com, and I think I'm going to purchase this. Has anyone used a composite spring?....how do they compette against the stock spring?...the weight savings is tremendous, and it claims to make the car handle better..any info/help would be appreciated..

composit 330 rear 3/4" sway bar,Blisteen hi pressure sport shock.
460 springs 1" sway Blisteen Hi pressure sport shock front
Not only can you ajust ride height with a composit but the response from the spring is great.

Don't have one, but hear they are great. Just be very very careful you don't nick it when installing or you will have a failure. Joe
Ive got one in my 78 it was installed in it just before I bought it,with bilstein shocks I installed new bushings and strut rods went through the whole rear end the 360 gives a nice smooth ride with me and my bride in the car and yes its a lot lighter than the old stock spring . just make sure that when you get it make sure it doesn't have any nicks or gouges in it or it will fail. good luck ron 78

Yah,I've been lookin' at the VBP catalog, too.According to them the stock steel spring is around 45lbs,& the rear monospring for C3's is 7lbs!!
Soon as I can do it,I'm in.
Do stock 1977 L-48's come with front & rear sway bars the size VBP recommends?Would I have clearance problems with their 1" lowering springs on my stock size wheels or the 16's I'm considering?
