Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
I took the back wheels off to bleed the back brakes and then I took a wire brush to clean up the back calipers. Now my emergency light stay on.  Did I do something to make this happen. I must-av because it did do that until I did that.

since you bled the brakes, your pedal traveled further than usual.. and i've ran into that problem with the 76, sometimes the bias (proportion) valve sometimes sticks a little, causing the pedal to travel further and light to come on(unless the switch on the parking brake is stuck...) .  I've gotten it to go off by sharply hitting the brake pedal... sometimes the valve sticks a little, and a good sharp pump or two brings it back.  From what i know, the proportion valve is suppose to block off the front or rear brakes should a loss of pressure happens to that end, allowing some braking to the "good" end...    otherwise, the parking brake switch is stuck, its under the cover with the parking brake lever,  should be a switch off to the side of the lever much like a door light switch...

I think Jimmy's right....with the bleeding of the brakes, you probably got the p-valve to "flip". A couple of quick, firm pops on the brake pedal should re-set the light, if the brakes are truly air-free.
Be sure to look and see if the parking brake lever is up, too.

You should bleed all 4 wheels since you only bleed the rear and if there is still air in the front you could have uneaqual presure which would trip the perpositional valve. their is a couple of good past forum post covering this
