Anyone know which way the front springs are positioned? Big gap on top or bottom? Thanks

If I remember right, on mine the wider coil was the top and tighter coil was the bottom. The top (I think) had an indent near the end. I'll go check, if I'm wrong I gotta fix mine too. I'm laughing cause I went through the same thing, but hey at least it's a 50/50 chance of being right

according to the assembly manual for a`69 the front springs should be assembled with the close coils toward the frame spring tower. hope this helps. good luck.
