Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

One more thing to keep in mind.  Have all of the bushing in the normal ride straight ahead position when you tighten them.  If the bolts/nuts are tightened with the bushings in the wrong position they create a "memory" and always try to return to the installed position.  This preloads the suspension, and can create some function problems, as well as creating premature wear from the extra stress.

And my wife is slowly getting better.   Thanks.

[QUOTE=Flemgunner]Hey Sarge what else did you do to it (suspension) besides the the poly bushings?

Glenn,

Sorry about the slow responce time on your question. I had a tenant move out of our cottage house and have been spending every moment possible there to get it ready for the new people. There was more damage than I expected.

Anyways...I did all the ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman & idler arm, steer cyl., control valve, steering box, front springs, 7 leaf HD rear springs, KYB adjust a gas shocks, all the bushings in the rear too, swapped out the 2.87 "chunk" for a 3.08, stainless e- brake kit and cables.

She rides like a new car. But I still get that dreaded wander at high speeds, or when I have to nail the brakes hard it will sometimes follow the crown or ruts in the road. I guess that characteristic of a C3 will never go away due to the independent rear supsension.
