i have a quenstion about the many components for front suspension rebuilt that are offered everywhere.

does it make much difference in driving comfort using heavy duty balljoints and idler arm compared to standard..or does it more mean those heavy duty things last longer?

is there a way to see/check if my coilsprings need to be replaced ?
already saw several answers here about poly kits compared to rubber. so i won't have to ask that anymore :)

i was thinking about ordering the front suspension rebuild kit deluxe from wilcox.. from what i saw it contains heavy duty idler arm but standard balljoints

Heavy Duty Joints of any type will not affect the ride. Ride is affected by the springs and shocks, and bushingings to a lesser degree. If you have the original springs, replace them, and check the shocks, if they are original replace them. If your replacing the front springs the shocks will have to be removed, mite as well replace them. As to replacement springs, its up to you. If your trying to keep things stock then replace them with originals. If not you have a choice of 360 lb. for better ride, or 550 lb for handleing but stiffer ride. One thing to remember which ever way you go you want to match components, front & rear springs, sway bars and shocks.

Thanks Glenn
