Well, was bumpin along pretty good today. All rear stuff back in. So went to front of car to replace new shocks and steel brake lines to match the back. WELL I busted the left front brake line trying to replace the rubber with SS. So order new cross over line from ZIPS. Well out of stock have to wait on it. But my question is to all you Corvette guru's is how hard is it to replace. Any tips on removing fitting at the brake blocK? Or running the line. Any help would be great, thnaks.

I had to replace mine when I added ss hoses to my calipers on my 82. I had a old rubber line from the caliper to the crossover line that I could not come off. It was frozen to the crossover line and would not let go. I was using my flare wrenches, PB Blaster and it still rounded the fittings. So I bought a SS crossover from Zip. My old line came off easily from the proportioning  (valve) block(thank God). If you need spray with PB Blaster to help loosen at the valve. I removed the clips and it came right out. You will have to wiggle it in from under the front end. Put in one side then the other side. the line is some what flexible. Just takes some fishing it thru. Then just put your clips back on bolt it up and bleed em.

If I have a have a stuborn brake line nut to get off I cut the steel line close to the nut and use a six point socket on it. After soaking it with WD40 or fluid film

ALCON, brake line on and we have brakes. What a job, I can see why they recommend body offs for replacement. Now having rear Y pipe issues I will post there. Thanks for the guidance all.
