My 81 was up on the lift and low and behold my a-arm bushings were shot. Everything else looked ok, not perfect but ok.
SO I know some things are going to be taken apart, what should I replace? I dont want to go wild because Im outta work but I need to fix this BUT I dont want to do it twice either. I dont see anyone selling just a bushing kit. I'm seeing a total rebuild kit for about 200.00.
Thoughts?
Larry, do you have a remedy? I'd love to flip you the business
Thanks, Kevin

You can go with Poly...or stay with rubber, (but use Moog if you stay rubber).

Kev, the bushings are probably available at Napa parts houses. You can get bushings by themselves from any of the parts vendors, too...OR...give Larry a call at
The bushings are kinda like brakes....you'll have to replace them sooner or later anyway. If the bushings are cracked from age, but the rest of the suspension is ok, then just replace the bushings...

Adam; thanks for the referral. We stock original quality bushings for $7.50 each, less 10% forum discount. You can buy exactly the ones you need.

I just spoke to Mike over at Larry's. As long as the car is apart, Mike thought it made sense to get the rebuild kit. A present from my Dad..
Thanks Mike and Larry!
