I finally have the engine compartment detailed, except for the master cylinder, and it looks alot worse since everything else is done. Does anyone make a paint that is resistant to brake fluid?

I am certainly no paint expert but I believe painting one is a lost cause.

Ive seen chrome and billet aluminum master cylinders but if I remember right your going for a stock look.

I polished a normal cast iron one and it looked pretty good.. I used a dremel and a wire wheel and followed it with cotton wheels.

I used "Cast Blast" on mine and followed it with a clear coat. I've gotten a little fluid on it since and it seems to hold up. Just clean any fluid that does get on it immediately.

Off the wall suggestion.Maybe POR-15 or Rust Bullet?? They are very chemical resistant, but your color would be limited to what they offer.You can top coat them but that kind of defeats the purpouse.

I was thinking of using exhaust manifold dressing. It is gray/silver similar to the original look. You can apply to rusted surfaces as long as it has been brushed clean with no flaking. I'm not sure if it will work but it seems like it will.

I use manifold dressing on mine. If you happen to spill fluid on it, wipe it off, wipe a little more dressing over it, works great.
