I have never had this problem, but while I was bleeding rear passenger caliper this morning, the dog on thing twisted off in the caliper trying to loosen it.
Is it worth while trying to drill it out or would you recommend replacing the caliper? It looks to be a PITA. I figure it was crossthreaded prior to me getting the car as the calipers are new.
Thanks

may have been crossthreaded but have seen some brake off as they were
just frozen in there. in my opinion i don't think it would be the
best way to go to drill it out. retapping may be a pain plus then you
would have to make sure all the shavings are cleaned out of it. it
would for me be less time consuming and not such a pita to replace
it.
