Finally, minus the A/C compressor, the engine compartment is back together. I put on the tires last night, took her off of the jackstands & rolled her out in the driveway for a 20 minute camshaft break in.
The good news----She ran great!!!
As for the suspension, the camber & toe are way off. The tires actually squeaked as we tried to push her outside.
I had the front suspension totally rebuilt, & when I installed the upper A-Arms, I used the same # of shims from before the rebuild.
The question is...........Can anyone who has recently replaced their front suspension tell me how many shims are in the upper A-Arms?
I just want to get back into the ball park until I can get her to the alignment shop in the spring.
Thanks,
Anthony

Congrats on firin that baby up finally, Anthony!!

Chances are if you installed the same shims, in the same location as before, the toe is the more likely culprit of the squealin tires than the camber/caster. I think I have the basic factory alignment "starting point" at the house. I know they originally installed a certain number of shims in each location, but the alignment was set by a machine first, and then the shims were added to fill in the gaps. If it took more than the normal number of shims in any one location, there was a problem with the frame.
I'll check on this when I git home, unless some-one else gets you the info before then.

Hmmm...assy manual calls for a nominal shim pack of 3 shims of .120" thick. A maximum of one .030", and one .060" can be added, for a total of .450".
