Topic: New Wheel Bearings
in Forum: C3 Engines, Driveline and Handling
Well, I've replaced about everthing under the car except the wheel bearings. Any recommendations on what brand to use, and what would I expect to pay to replace all four bearings?
Just my 2 cents......... I put GM bearings in mine trying to keep as many GM parts as I can in it for a car that's so old....it was expensive.
Hey....what are you doing in my car???

What YOU should be doin....DRIVIN!!!
Go with the Timkin brand bearings. Most any parts house will have them or the cheapos. Just be sure to ask, and verify you get the good stuff. Don't fergit the seals!!

Timken is a long time standard for bearings. You can't go wrong!
Use good wheel bearing grease and check you spindles for any signs of damage. Make sure you get new seals and cotter pins when you're getting your parts.
