I like 1, 4, 3 and 2 in that order.
Guess that means I like all of them.

If I was picking from these, I'd take #4.

I'D GO WITH THE LAST ONE WHICK LOOK LIKE AMERICANS OR GRAGARS.

I'M CURRENTLY GOING THRU THE SAME DECISION MAKING PROCESS FOR MY 81 AND WITH THAT IN MIND COULD YOU LET ME KNOW WHAT SIZE WHEEL & TITE YOU'RE GOING WITH ?

I'VE BEEN LOOKING AT UPGRADING TO A 17X8 IN AMERICANS 200S AND I'M TRYING TO STAY WITH A TIRE THAT'S CLOSE TO THE STOCK HEIGHT

ANY THOUGHTS OR INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED

GOOD LOOKING CAR NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF WHEEL YOU GO WITH,I'VE ALWAYS LIKED THOSE HOOKER HEADERS W/SIDEPIPES

THANKS
MIKE

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
I like the wheels you currently have becuz they seem to pull together the color of the car and the shine of the sidepipes. But if feel the need for a change my vote would be for the second set - nice and bright like the pipes.

Personally I think the last set (Cragars?) look better on older muscle cars (Chevelles, Camaros, GTOs, anything MOPAR, etc) from the '60s than on 'sports' cars.

I think you're right, Norsky. I had a 1969 GTO (first car when I was 16!) and I put the Cragar's on it. So now I associate them with the older muscle cars as well. On a Vette, well, I think it looks good, but it's not the look I'm going for.

Right now I'm leaning towards keeping what I have (#1) which matches the "body" of the car, or going with #2 to compliment the sidepipes.

If I go with new rims, I have to figure out size and tires. I don't want to have to deal with any major modifications. Have to see what I can get away with by going larger than 15".

Help!

I think you should go with the AR-136's. Crager SS and Torque Thrust wheels are better for old muscle cars. Since you have a newer vette, a more modern wheel will be OK, especially with the chrome side pipes. I'd go to 16" wheels, to get more modern rubber without looking like a kid's honda. I wish I had $2 grand to spend on wheels, I'd get a set of 16" billet ralley wheels and good rubber for my 73. Joe

I think the designer's right. #3 is my choice. compliments the car better than the rest. Then again I like no the frills, clean line look.
