Hello everybody !
last week I went to the vette store and bought 2 calipers, 2 steel hoses, brake pads, and the special pad tool,
this weekend put the jack under the vette and took off the rear wheel to discover that the original rotor is still there WOW ! the vette as 83565 Kilometres
now what do I do with that ? I now that I have to drill the rivets I see five ?
drill it with what size of drill ? and also need to now the depth of the hole with the drill ?
and after to get the rotor off ???
is it better to get new rotors or keep the original that are still in perfect condition ? and the last but not the least the parking brake kit ???
do you think the job will be finish before the snow is gone ?

It isn't that difficult to drill the rivets out. Use a 5/16 drill, center punch so it is near as possible the center, once flush with the factory hole just knock-out with a punch. Keep the original rotors if at all possible. To remove rotors you must back-off the star wheel adjustment for the the park brakes, then just wiggle the rotor til it comes off. At that point, you can view the park-brake components to see if they need to be replaced. I wouldn't do them on the car, but some members have, sounds like too much work to me. I rebuild trailing arms and it's sometimes hard even on the bench. Yuo should be good-to-go by spring if you start now. Good-luck-Flandy
