Smile OK Ready to roll.....woops, still gotta get the windshield squirter working for the MA inspection station, but, the parking brake is all back in and working good! New S.S. hardware and new pads...probably about the best $65.00 or so I have spent! I am by NO MEANS a mechanic, and this seamed like a daughnting task, but, with some idea's and advise on this board there in and working. Actually the 1st side was pretty tuff about 4 hours, but, once you know how to string the hardware up and get everything wiggled into place it realy is not that awfull! The second side probably took less than a hour! Maybe I got lucky but everything seamed to slide into place without as much fighting. Actually I wish I took pic's, because I used a combination of idea's to get everything into place, and I did not even get the special to for helping put on and remove the little keeper springs!!  LOL  I also saved my original cables...while they were disconected...I set them so they curved upwards...formed a funnel around the top and let 30 weight oil soak in....once it was all the way through...they seamed to work pretty slick! If anybody is  doing this project and stuck, I would be willing to try to help you by describing how I got them in...........I do not get to check email a whole lot with the nicer weather, but, drop me a line and I would try to help!!

Eric, sounds like good stuff. Hey I have one for you my P brakes have been replaced years ago and very little driving of my vett (75) its been work in progress. I'm getting ready to finish it up now but my left rear P Brake keeps sticking and locking up. I ajusted the cable back and it came lose but after pulling the P brake on it has locked up again. Any ideas or do I just need to drive the pee out of it because of sitting to long. Thanks

I had the same problem. Everytime I set the parking brake, it wouldn't release. When replacing the trailing arms, we (Joel and I) found out the brakes were fine, it was the cable sticking all along. I would check that first. Try soaking the conduit ends of the cable with PT Blaster or some such stuff. Might fix it.Thumbs%20Up

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
