parking brake tool

has anyone got instructions on how to  use the tool?.looks like a flat  blade screw drive,with a slot in centre

Maybe these Youtube vids from Van Steele will help you. They're not the greatest. Parking brake assemblies are a PITA.

next question can you do  parking brake shoes in situ????

or does hub need stripping out??

Two words......Dental Floss.  Use it to compress the little springs that hold the shoes.  Thread or string will work too I guess.  Never used the "parking brake tool".  I thought that was the guy that designed them.  Wink

I think the majority of us have done them " in place" . As opposed to removing the trailing arm completely or even just removing the hub. Big Al
