Anyone used one of these power brake bleeders? $50 pressure tank with fitting that clamps over master cylinder. Seems like a good idea, fast, one person. But is the clamp on fixture adequate? Hate to have brake fluid spraying all over the place! Opinions? Mike

If that similar to a professional brake bleeder, and it sound like it is, they work great. It was standard equipment in many shops until plastic tank took place of metal. The pressure used is not all that high, and the seal holds well. It is the easiest way you will ever bleed brakes. Fill the tank, pressurize it, connect to the master cylinder, and open the bleeders, one at a time, until the fluid is clean. Very effective, very simple.

Drop a link?
Scott, for some reason, if you go direct with the above link, the bleeder for Vettes(early american bleeder) is $54.95. If you "google" "power brake bleeder", the first sponsored result is Apex Performance. If you go in this way the bleeder is only $50.95. Go figure!

Got my power bleeder yesterday. Put it to work today on my Pace Car.WOW, what a way to go. Was up on jacks allready so pulled the wheels while I did a pressure test on the master cylinder to bleeder attachment. Needed to add 2 bar clamps to the fitting for my own piece of mind. Held 15# pressure for about 10 minutes so I was ready to go. The procedure took about 10 minutes to flush 2 qts. of new fluid through the system. Didn't even need to pump up the pedal when finished. Wish I had one of these years ago!
