I am sure I know the asnwer to this by the looks of it, but is it a REAL PITA to remove the power brake booster?
The brakes are fine, but previously someone did a horrible job of painting it probably on the car and it kills me to look at it everytime I open the hood.
Thanks, gurtz

from what i hear it is. you have to loosen the the panel inside the car
for the speedometer and tach so you can access behind it and with a
long extension take off the four nuts that hold it in. from what i hear
the biggest pain is getting the nuts back on. maybe you can do a better
job of painting it unless you were considering one of the chrome ones.

I have replaced one on my 1980. Consider it one of the Hardest Anoying Procedures to do but that being said it can be done in one day. Start by Dropping the Steering.Once the Speedo and Tach are out You will need a Super Long Extension and a U-Joint and a Deep Socket. Take black Tape and Tape the u-Joint and Socket so it can still bend but not fall apart. There is a couple of Brakets that can be Confusing if You get them Mixed up. You might replace the Bulbs and anything else You might think of when You have it all apart.
Hey gurtz heres another option to a painted Brake Booster. I was considering doing this myself due to the amount of rust and crud on my master cylinder and booster. Sure would look a lot better
