Okay, I actually had to put the wrenches down today and walk away from the car. The PS pump is leaking so I decided to replace it and the lines to it.  Got it out of the car and I need to pull the pulley off of the old one to put on the new one.

What's the secret?

It's drivin' me insane I tell ya!  I'm tired, dirty, thoroughly p.o'd. and ready to scream/cry...

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

Go to AutoZone or Murry's or a place like that.  Get the power steering pulley kit.  Without the proper puller, you won't get the pulley off.  With the puller it comes off fairly easily.  The kit also has an installer to put it back on the pump.

At AutoZone you pay for the tool, and when you take it back you get a full refund, so it cost you nothing when you are done.  If you keep it you paid for it and it's yours. Or you can go to NAPA and just buy one there.

Ahhhh, the joys of owning a freshly painted 'Vette, and having to work on it! Brings back such fond memories....NOT!!!

Yup, as Kens says, go git ya a puller, and the thing will pop right off. The puller will usually have the tool to re-install the pulley, but be sure to ax!! Pay attention to how far the pulley fits up on the shaft, also, so you kin git it back in the same location. That way all the belts will still line up.
Take a break....chill......you'll git-r-done!
