Just installed the new mono composite transverse leaf spring from Corvette Central.  Now the rear seems to be sitting too high.  it is measures 29.5" from the garage floor to the outer edge of fender well.  That is about two inches higher than before. What is the correct height and how is it best adjusted?

The way to adjust height is with the long bolts. To drop height you need longer bolts. I had to go with 8" bolts to get mine lower. Still up a bit. Proper measurements are made to frame. The AIM has the right dimensions.

The dimension that you are measuring, measures

Driver Front

28”

28”

Passenger Front

Driver Rear

28 9/16”

29”

Passenger Rear

PM me your email and I can send you page that relates to trim heights.

12" bolts are available, but they may create clearance issues

I put the VBP spring on my '78. It came with the long bolts about 8". I only got about 3/8" - 1/2" tread showing below the lock nut. My wheel well edge measures about 28 1/4" with the stock 225/70 tires. Seems to look good sitting there.

We sell a lot of front springs to people who have recently installed a new rear spring.  The car settles a lot over 30 or 40 years, so when you get the rear to the proper height, you need to raise the front too.
