Do you really want the "cheapest" brakes on your Vette?!

Check with AutoZone for something local. They do have the sleeved calipers available. Don't know about cores, but they will probably want them.
Always replace brakes parts in pairs. (or all four, if possible)

I konw what you mean.I've got one rear that the shop can't bleed all the air out.I just got a new MC and boster installed by the shop under their 90 day warrenty on parts and labor.Thats how we found the problem.I've still got brakes but they are soft and my brake light is starting to come on.So for right now I'm going to replace both rear ones and do the front soon.

Well I was going to do that but it's the bleeder that is causing the problem. It was stuck and they got it to bleed just a little. it wouldn't come out any further without it braking off.

I had "New" Delco O'Ring calipers installed a few months ago as part of a complete four wheel break job.  Got them from "Ecklers".  A little pricey  but breaks is one place I don't try to save money.....after all, it is a vette and vettes were made for cornering and I want to know I can stop ..... real fast if I need to

For your location, I would try Bair's Corvette, they are sponsors of this site.  You may also get a discount for being a member of this site.  Another option is Muskegon Brakes, I think their webaddress, muskegonbrake.com-good luck-Phil flandy2006-09-21 16:52:09

Vette(s): 1976 coupe with a custom body and a 396 big block with nitrous installed. Runs great!!
If you haven't already change the flexable brake lines to stainless flex lines. Change out the fluid also. If the old rubber lines are still on you may have a soft feeling in the pedal. I changed mine to stainless flex and WOW what a difference. The pedal feels like stepping on a brick. The rubber lines expand and lose pressure to the brake. You will be amazed with the pedal backfeed.

I chased exactly the same problem on my '80.  Custom76 is exactly correct about the rubbers and they will also draw air if cracked like mine were.

I used these guys thru my mechanic as they are wholesale only http://www.lonestarcaliper.com.  I got all four for either $75 or $100 each.  They are the stainless sleeve calipers.  I also changed to stainless flex lines and had to add the front hard line due to seized lines.

She now bites hard and stays bled.

Good luck
