I'm replacing the emergency brake hardware with stainless steel and in order for me to remove the cable keeper I have to remove the spindle.  Does anyone know any easy way to do this???? Do I need a special tool to get the spindle off from the trailing arm????

To remove the spindle is a rough job.  It's a lot of work considering you need to take apart the wheel bearings to do it.  Although it's difficult, you really want to try to change it with the spindle in place.  Also difficult.  That is unless you plan to go ahead and replace the bearings at the same time.  This could actually be very good preventive maintance.

The "easy way'" to do it is to send it to someone else!!
It really is a big pain, but you can change all of that stuff with the spindle on. Patience is the key.( and keep the large hammers out of the area, it can get frustrating!) Adams' Apple38631.8228703704
