I picked up a set of stainlss brake hoses. I haven't had the time to install them yet but looking at them today I noticed there are 4 hoses but only 2 crush washers. Is this right?

The end away from the calipers do not use the washers.
The end by the calipers is held on with a hollow bolt, that fluid passes through. One washer goes on the bolt, under the head and against the hose end. Then another washer goes inbetween the caliper and the hose.
These are soft copper, and mold to the shape when tightened down. Depending on condition of the washer, it is sometimes easier to seal with the old washer to the caliper. Just make sure it is in the same position as it was to begin with. Rotational position is not too important, just which side is where.
I like to use the new ones, but once in a while they just won't seal, so I use the old ones. Or if I don't have new ones, the old ones word well. Don't get used to me saying an old part is good for a seal, this is likely the only time I will say that. But it is okay, and often done.

The hollow bolts don't sound familiar for the Vette? The rear calipers are connected to a section of metal line, the hose going from the frame line to the training arm line which then connects to the caliper. Front hose screws directly into the caliper using the washers, one per side. Mike
I was mixing my GM systems. I goofed. That's what I get for working on so many different things. Sorry guys, not like me.
I just looked at mine. The hoses screw directly into the caliper, and don't use the banjo (hollow) bolt. So there is only one copper washer used. And only on the caliper end. Just tighten it up, and you can reuse the old one if necessary, or if the new one won't quit leaking, but try the new one first.

Now that my students are gone until summer session (starts June 7), just say the word. Other than Sunday (I still work Sunday in the parts house) say when and I will be there. Saturday, weekday, evening, morning, afternoon, you name it. Thanks again.

Once again, good information....I bought new rear brake lines, speed bleeders and the ss braided line kit. I will be doing that as soon as I get done with my front seal and cleaning up the mess it made.
