Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
Hey I think I might get a 70 vette and the brakes go to the floor with little stopping power. What could cause this?

Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary model. Original L82 engine, 700r4 trans, edelbrock intake, thorly headers, rack&pinion steering, mono rear and front spring, MSD 6A box
It could be just air in the lines and you need to bleed the brakes, or it could be something more serious.  Look in side the tires and see if they are wet this could mean bad wheel cylinders.

I would assume the worst...if the problem was an easy fix, why wouldn't the seller take care of it and not have the brakes be an issue?

Plan on a complete brake inspection by a competent mechanic. These things are notorious for bad calipers and boosters. Maybe plan on worst case, a complete brake overhaul and adjust your purchase price from there.

Yup...if you plan for the worst, there'll be no surprises!
Most likely is going to be a bad master cyl, but you can't disregard the likelihood of the calipers, and rotors being bad. Hope it works out, and you do get it...(unless it's a turd, then, I hope you walk away!)

If it's been sitting for a long time it could have bad seals in both the calipers and master cylinder.
