I've just ordered a set of wheelvintique rims with spinners. Even though the spinners won't hold the wheel, they do spin on. My question is (I should know this) which is the correct side to put the spinner ? Is it the clockwise spinner on the right side of the car, and the counter clockwise one on the left, or the other way around ? I would hate to lose any of them because I installed them wrong.

Left handed threads(c-clockwise) on the right(passenger) side of the car. The theory is to have the threads going opposite of the way the wheel is spinning, to keep them tight.
Chrysler cars had left-hand threads on the right side lug nuts of their cars for years, for this reason.

Yep, Joel's correct.  My wife's MGB has spinners that do hold the wheel on and the counter clockwise ones are on the right side of the car.  Strangely on my '57 Caddy the counter clockwise (left hand thread) lug nuts are on the left of the car.  Must work different for lug nuts.  Very hard to find left hand lug nuts now so I'm going to change the studs for normal ones.

Thanks guys, mine are simuliar to Ron's they have a plate with a threaded hub the is screwed into the rim, then the spinners go on. I'll let you huys know when I'm done.

Do you think these would work on the Collector edition wheels.I'd love to try that out.If they work,then I'll have to deside if I want stright or the swept looking ones.Anybody think this wll work? I've called the mail order cat's and nobody there seemd to know if it can be done.zgator38907.5897337963

okay..  youre talking about knock-off wheel style spinners..  not "spinnahs"

for a minute I thought some ricer had taken you to the dark side

 Aslong as the sinner is the same demision as the center hub it shold work atleats in theroy , and I agree "spinnahs" on a nice vette would be very sad
