I bought a set of spinners for my wheels and have seen some posts about them coming off. I'm going to use lock tite on them. My question is do I put the lock tite on the spinner threads or just on the set screws?

My car has spinners and I've never had the spinner itself come loose. I'd say use it on the set screws. I later triple chrome plated everything and had to file em a little just to re-install them they become so tight.
I can tell you from experience, occasionally, they do come off.I had a left front one come off one day, about 40 MPH,I had my left arm out the window when it happened, hurt like h e l l ,

,it came off hub and all, never had just the spinner come off though

I was driving down the road one day and heard a metal on metal ding and saw a flash out of the corner of my eye. I noted where I saw it, because I thought it may have possibly been a spinner (I was about 1.5 miles from home). Sure enough when I pulled into the driveway my front passenger side spinner wasn't with me. Drove back and luckily the field had been freshly plowed and I saw the spinner glistening in the sun! I'd make sure those set screws are tight, maybe use a silicone adhesive as well, and put something on the spinner threads as well. The spinner is the only part that came off mine. Be careful not to overtighten the 3 set screws holding the hub to the wheel as they can easily dig in and break out chips of the wheel, just use "locktite".
