Any ideas why my left rear brake squeals? It doesn't do it cold, like when I leave home, but by the time I drive several miles, it starts. It only squeals just as I'm stopping at a very slow speed. I pulled the pads out today and they look almost new. Rotor looks fine too. Any ideas on this Squealer? (good song by AC/DC too
)

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Thanks, Steve. I'll try that. It's really embarrassing to pull up to a light and hear that ear piercing squeal.

two things i do for this..
i take the pads off the offending wheel (and usually the other side for balance) and rough up the surface of the pads with a wire wheel (bench grinder or drill attachment).. then I apply a thin layer of high temp silicon to the back of the pad and let it sit up.. then reinstall everything..
Ron, I don't see you name on the list of attendees at c3x. You need to come so we can smack you one!

The METAL side! Dang..now I gotta take the thing apart again.
I did buff the pads when I took them off but haven't driven it since. Maybe that worked. Thanks for the info guys...you too Ron
