How wide are they... lol. 7 or 8''? Also, the 225/70/15's, how wide can i go and still be safe in the rear. Lastly, are there any replacement rims that are wider, yet retain the ralley rim look, and what tire can i run on those????? Thnx,

LOL, i'd have to say i feel pretty stupid.... i never even mentioned the year.... lol. Its a 71 l48. So 8'' rims eh. Sounds good, anybody make a 9'' rim?:)

Also. I've been researching a little and it seems people are running one of two combo's on the 8'' rim. Its either 255/60/15's, or 225/70/15's. I like having the whole wheel well taken up, and i'm worried that if i go with the 60's it may look funny, any opinions on this?? Also, can you run 255/70/15's.... do they even sell those...? tks

I am thinking that a 17" rim would be the thing to have. That way I can still run a 27" tall tire and have better road handling. I wonder if these would fit?

A while back MidAmerica listed 10" rally wheels in their catalog, but I haven't seen them recently. I had thought about getting a pair for a bigger rear footprint, but by the time I got around to ordering them they were gone from the catalog. Never bothered to call and find out if they were still available.

Hello Brian,

The back spacing on the billet ralley shown is too deep. Should be 4" to 4.5" to clear the trailing arm.

There are still 10" deep ralleys available. Contact me if you need help.

the 255-60-15 will fill the wheel well, because it is wider and the second number is merely a percentage, the 255 is only .3 inches shorter than a 225-70-15, and .3 would be very difficult to notice. I'm gonna go with 255's. I need the bigger footprint. But i can't decide whether to get 275's on the back???

A 255/60/15 is 153 milimeters tall (from bead to tread). A 225/70/15 is 157.5 (from bead to tread). Difference of 4.5 milimeters, barely noticeable but not .3 , Sorry.
BTW, a 295/50/15 would be 147.5 mm,, a little shorter but alot wider.

hello, according to your measurements, 4.5 mm on each side of the tire is .17 inches for each side. This makes a total of .34 inches total height difference. So don't say sorry to me.
