I am trying to make a final decision on which tires to put on my 74 coupe. I have narrowed it down to the Goodrich T/A and the Mastercraft Avenger GT. I have decided on 255/60 instead of the 225/70 even though the 60's are bout $10 higher. But here is the dilema, I can buy the Avenger's bout $30 less per tire due to my source I can get them wholesale but he doesn't have as good of buying power for the T/A and this is a significant & difference. but I guess it is a status thing with the T/A's as far as looks go. I would like feedback on how everyone thinks the Avengers would look. I will be using the original Rally Wheels. The bottom line is I am concerned if they will look cheap. I really wanted the Goodyear Eagle GT II but you guys have convinced me against them due to problems. Here is a pic of the Avenger.http://www.mastercrafttires.com/us/en/displaylarge.asp?file=avengerGT.jpg&name=Avenger+G/T

Master who? I would get the B/F/G TA's. It's not just a status thing. To me it's a matter of safety.....and you got to admit, they do look cool. BTW, the placement of the white letters on the new TA's are to give the tire a lower profile look.

Vette(s): I own a black '77 with a custom leather marroon interior. Rally wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Zero 255/60VR15 tires. It's a 4 speed car with 4.11 gears.
I had 255/60 -15 Mastercraft's on my '77. I needed two tires for inspection and that's what the garage could get that day. They are a pretty good tire.

I put about 1,500 miles on them before I replaced all 4 tires.

I can make you a pretty good deal on a pair if you're interested. I paid about $75 each for them. I'm willing to deal.

I think what I was trying to say is how will the Avenger's look? I want to maintain a good Vette look. The Avenger's are a performance tire and Mastercraft does build a quality product. I have ran them on my family car and they performed and wore as well as any other I have used.

They looked good. I had Dunlops (245/60-15)on the car and the back tires went out of round. I had Mastercrafts(255/60-15) on the back and Dunlops up front.

I replaced all four when the fronts went out of round.

Is Huntsville, MO close to Kansas City? Check out the Firestone Firehawks on my Vette! I can tell you where to get a good deal on them.
