I put Firehawks 215R70/15's all the way around to keep it close to original specs. No rubbing, wandering or clearance issues. And they look pretty nice, too! Got 'em from TireRack.

I am shocked to see so many of you using 255 X 60R15's on your C3's!!!

Just last Wednwsday I saw a '69 with those size tires on it and couldn't believe that it doesn't rub on the frame or suspension when cornering.

Most of the above posts are on later model cars. Anyone else with a '69 have these size tires?

I'm still on P205 X 70R15's and the difference in look is amazing. I like the wide look but wonder how much the ride would improve on a '69?

I thought P225 was about the largest that you could use. Any other thoughts?

I am running 255/60/15 on the back and 235/60/15 on the front of my 70. I like the look of the smaller tire up front. No rubbing at all.
