Anyone have any thoughts as to the overall validity of the ratings on Tire Racks web site?

When I look at tires for the 72 BB, the Firestone Indy 500 are top rated, over the Goodrich T/A & Yokahomas.
Not exactly what I expected.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

The ratings seem to be accurate.  There is testing done, and there is the ratings of the owners.  The two seem to match fairly well.  When Compared to other sites and ratings, they also seem to fair well.

I have the Indy 500s on my car, and like them very well.

I also have the Indy 500's on mine, and they seem a little better than the T/s's that they replaced.

I just bought 4 P255/60R15 BFG'S TA'S from Discount Tire.Com. They have a deal with NO shipping or handling charges! The 4 tires cost me $80 each. Check them out.

I went with the ratings from tire rack and bought the Indy 500's. Much better traction and ride compared to the the Dunlaps I had on before. My local Firestone store came within dollars of the online pricing so I bought from them.

You might want to try Sam's Club. They beat everyone's price when I had mine done. They may not stock all brands, but can get what you want within a few days.

I've had Indy's on mine for awhile now...put them on some other cars as well ..they live up to there ratings. It's a very good tire.
