I need help here. I don't want to make a $1200. mistake.
15x8.5" American Racing Torq-Thrust D's.
3.75" Backspacing with 5/16" spacer. Just clears the caliper.
P255/60R15 BFG Comp T/A's

Here is my delema: The rim sticks out about a 1/2" past the wheelwell. If I mount the tires on the rims (to get a visual) I just bought them whether I like the look or not.
So..I need to know if anybody has or had or seen a vette with this same combo I listed. I know the tire sidewall will probably protude out the side a little. But the question is how far will it stick out? I don't want to take a chance guessing and have it look like one of those dumb foreign cars with the "roller skate" look to it.
Any knowledge, advise or pictures is greatly appreciated.

Norm80Vet, please lock this thread. It's a dead issue.

I've decided against trying this rim on the car.
I'm just going to try out something else that I know works on the car. Thanks, Sarge
