does anyone know the proper torque on the large upper front spindle bolt.. this is the one that holds the dust shield on.. and goes through the caliper bracket..

i know the steering arm botls torque to 70.. but this bolt is appx 3/4 x 1" (15/16 head)

I cant find it in my assembly manual..

ive looked at suspension, brakes, and steering sections

What grade is the bolt? Count the radial lines on the bolt and add two to determine the grade. I sell fasteners for a living and can get you the spec depending on the grade-Phil |cheers|

According to my chart:Grade 5,
3/4x10...260 ft lbs. dry,200 oiled
3/4x16...300 ft lbs.dry,220 oiled
This is a general purpouse chart and not specific to your application.
