I seem to remember the spring being off. Much easier to work under there with out it in the way. I believe I just lifted the arm up, put the socket in the hole under the arm to set it at about ride height, then adjusted it. The alignment dude spent 10 minutes on the rack for the rear, it was very close...I watched the whole process.
The spring is another thing all together.....be careful, this is where everything went south on the initial re - assembly. I could never get a straight answer from anybody about tightening up the 4 bolts on the spring plate. I believe that the weight of the car should be on the spring when you tighten these bolts, the arch of the spring prevents a proper assembly when the wheels are just hanging in the air.
My rear cover broke off when I was tightening these bolts up...had about 30 ftlbs on them when the thing snapped off. Had to rip everything back out again..
Well, I thought about this again last night....yeah , I think the whole rear suspension was together before I adjusted the cams....just put a floor jack under the rotor to bring the arm up to correct position, then put the socket in the frame.
