I know you've probably talked about this add-on somewhere here,but who here has installed these,& how do you like them.I have a set on the way,and would like your opinions,suggestions,advice,etc. Thanks |thumb|

I added the VBP smart struts 3 years ago when I rebuilt the rear in my 78. Easy to install,but you will have to remove the factory heat shield under the diff.I went with the 360 lb fiberglass spring and a 3/4" sway bar as well. Since the glass spring is only rated for 235F
I insulated the rear Y pipe with 2" wide exhaust wrap.
The car handles great! An easy
upgrade!

I recently put them on my '77. They came as part of the VBP Street and Slalom kit. Pretty easy to install. Hardest part was getting the lower shock mount shafts off. Mine were in bad shape and each took 2 hours of beating them with a hammer before they came out.

These smart struts ROCK!!! You have much more camber to work with instead of that stupid bolt with the glorified washers on them that always rust in place. You will definately notice the difference in handling.
