70's would be gray (like the Ansen mags or chrome like the Cragar SS or Keystone Classics from what I remember.
Oddly enough I like the black but alot would depend on the choice of tire for me to make that decision,
Like RWL / Blackwall or ummmmn Bluelines maybe even.Tuxblacray 2010-06-09 14:46:02

I agree with my brother Tux.
First be carefull of us old guys.......our power is in our wisdom. Ask your Dad!
Back when I was your age I had a 1969 fastback Cuda 340 formula S, It was painted to match Soupy Sales funny car Plumb Crazy with a lighter lavendar side's and matching Hemi stripe down the center of the car.
On the front were Keystone Rouges......Black spoke with chrome rims. Also on my Dart Sport had Keystone Klassics Chrome with the black inlay.
Go with the Black and Chrome, I think the all chrome will compete to much with that blue flake. Black will add class.
And as ole' Tux said the tires will be a factor also, don't get to much writing on them to take away from the rims and car color.
But that's just my 2 cents......

Now drop and give us 50.......dang whippersnapper

No I'm proud of the boy the way the data shows he done joined da site when he b just 16.

Welp... Heres the tires...
Falken FK452 THe same as I run on my 300C
The side design of the tires isnt intricate, but not basic...
The fronts are:
255/45/18 on a 18x8
The rear is:
275/40/18 on a 18x9.5
I wish I could ask my dad. For whatever reason, hes been ignoring me for quite some time for random BS reasons. From what I got out of him without really taking a good look he said black...
Lets just say... I think the black is nice, but I don't want my classic well respected corvette end up like in the class bracket..
I think the black or chrome is gonna turn the car into this.. The chrome $$$ wise not worth it anyways... so its between the black and grey. IDK if the gray is just too plane jane for the custom viper GTS blue and the gigantoid 383 power stroker... with classic accented interior... or the black is just too.. "D-Street" Ghetto.. for the classic whip.

Maybe this is a good time for me to remind you that one of the most pure Corvette muscle cars the Grand Sport had black wheels on it. Me thinks that is kinda a long ways from a DONK....
Keep up the good werk Louis ... She be lookin gud.

Louis, I can't wait to see the shark with those low profiles on it.....get em mounted an put up some picts!

YEs, the grand sport did have black wheels, and the blue well, a bit darker than mine, was close!
I did join the site when I was 16.. My dad got me the Vette as a project with him when I was just about 15 and a half or so, back in 2003-2004... Thats how long its been. I carry a 40Cal glock G22 all day, I drive American cars, I talk how I want, I only ten to buy American Products unless I'm backed into a corner.. I am a rare breed in my generation of lost values, dumb rice rockets, and class.. not to mention the "wimpy" type as I refer to it. When I started carrying I dropped a lot for friends that gave me crap over it... they were too weak for me.. I will collectively put all the suggestions from the 2 forums that have this posting and make a decision shortly.. these wheels are on a load for test fitment...
