The 80 I have did not come with the spare tire. what this a smaller donut type tire? or a full size tire?

My 80 came with a ful size tire non white lettered. I do not plan on having a spare after the resto.

I have never checked my 80 but it looks like a full size from the size of the cover.

From '79 up, all Corvettes that have spares had the small space saver spares. This started with the '78 Pacers...the early Pacers had bright yaller rims, so the driver would be too embarrassed to continue driving with the spare, and repair the road tire.
If your '79 & later car has a full-sized spare, someone put it there.
The spare tire tub is designed to hold a full-sized tire/rim...where else would you put the flat full-sized tire if it wasn't?

ok now where to get one? i guess just a tire store?

Hello All,
     My '80 Vette came with, and still has a 225x70x15 spare tire, rally paint color rim, and has only been dropped to take down and repaint the housing when I had car painted.It is no fun putting tire back in place after dropping.
     If I would have a flat,hello tow truck road service.I would rather pull an engine than change a tire.....

             Also this was the tire size that came OEM on this CA. car.
