Vette(s): 1972 Steel Cities Gray T Top. Original Owner, Original Paint and Interior. The running gear has been rebuilt. only 250,000 miles on the clock..

I just bought 4 Firestone Indy 500's 255/60/15. Mounted on chrome 15 x 8 rally wheels.  Bought the wheels from Summit. The tires look good and handle well also. I did not mount them with the white letters out. Just my choice. Give them a check out. I usually run 32psi all around for my hwy cruise drivin'

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
I chose the exact same tire.  But the white letters out.  I haven't driven it enough yet to determine tire pressure.  I'll give the 32 a try.

The tire info on my door(s) say "for fuel economy", 30 front, 35 rear for both the 255/60s or the 225/70s.  Optional pressures are 20/26 which sounds awful low to me. Maybe for autocross or something like that.   Mike

You have to watch some tire stores they will generally over-inflate tires to "seat the bead to the rim" then adjust to correct pressures. Sometimes they forget to adjust the pressure. My Goodyears were at 40 psi when I checked them at home after driving less than a mile. Makes for ruff ride and hard to handle. Check tire pressure often. I carry a guage in my vette. I have found that 30 front and 32 rear works best for me. I have Goodyears on the vette now but am going to switch to BFG's and will try same pressures at first and adjust from there. Hope this helps.

Vette(s): Silver '81 mostly original C3. Silver interior, bilstiens, big sway bars, headers.
Just to be different... (!) My '81 came shod with new
Pirelli Scorpion Zero's when I bought it. Great looking
tyres, and it corners like its on rails

I went with Firestone Indy 500's also. Had BFG's on before that. The BFG's were good, but like the Indy 500's ride and handleing better. I have 255/60x15 and 255/70x15's on factory wheels.
