[QUOTE=Tuxblacray] I've been sprayin down the bolts & nuts to the body mounts to replace those rubber bushings. I hate to do these because I just know that it isn't going to go well. So be it, I know in the long run who is going to be the victor!
I probally should be painting like you are now while the weather is warmer. That way it won't take 2 hours for the garage to warm up. Unfortunitly I have other agenda items that prevent me from doing this.
What type of black paint are you putting on? I usually use Rustoleum Indutrial Machine Gloss Black. I like it because it has a rust inhibitor and it comes in a pint and a spray.Yours looks to have a nice gloss to it.
What sheild is it that you lost? Is it something that rusted & fell off or did it have some help from a parking block, chuckhole, or your average 100 mi. jaunt down the road?

After scraping the loose rust, dirt and undercoating off, washing and drying all the metal, I used Rustoleum primer and then two coats of Rustoleum Black Gloss. It's an oil base. I wanted to use a semi-gloss, but Home Depot didn't have any. It's not as glossy as the pictures would have you believe.
As for the shield, go to this
