Are they easy to do? Or would I be better off letting the tire shop do them? The right front wheel was pretty warm when I got home today. And making a clicking noise unless the brakes were applied. Any and all advice/instructions welcome!

As long as you have a brass punch and hammer you should be able to handle this job. I just did my rear spindles with no problem except for a stubborn right side spindle coming out. Just be careful when inserting the races, keep them straight and be patient. You'll do just fine unless of course you have the extra cash under your mattress buring a whole in it that you would like to fork out to your local shop.

Marc,
You can do it..Buy Hi Temp Disc Brake Wheel Bearing Grease and two front rear bearing seals..
Remove the wheel.. Remove the two bolts on the rear of the caliper.. Rest the caliper on something to avoid tension on the brake line hose.. Remove the cap on the hub.. Remove the cotter pin and nut from the spindle..
Remove the hub from the spindle and the front bearing will slide out from the hub..Lightly tap the rear bearing from inside the hub with a piece wood. Clean all old grease from hub, spindle and bearings with a solvent.. .Be careful of metal splinters... Blow out solvent from bearings with compressed air. Inspect bearings for wear..Repack the entire circumference of bearing until grease comes out back..Put a little grease in the entire circumference of the hub.Insert rear bearing....insert new rear seal and gently tap the entire circumference until it is seated..Place hub back on spindle... insert front bearing into hub, with washer.Tighten nut by holding the nut with water pump pliers and spinning the hub until the nut is snug. This will set the hub too.Back the nut so you can install cotter pin..Replace hub cap. Remove cap for break fluid.. Slowly compress pistons in caliper until recessed.. Install caliper.. Now you are ready to do the other side..I had the rear wheel bearings done professionally.. It was well worth the money.. Hope this helps ya..
