Finally, I went with those Firehawk PV41
235/70R15 in the rear
225/70R15 in the front
The car improved a lot at cornering.
The torque transfers also better to the road.
I have put 200 hundred miles since I have these tires and I am REALLY happy. The improvement is impressive!
By-the-way, the speed rating is V (up to 149 mph)

JRD,
Had Scorpion Zeros on my Impala SS & thought they were noisy.
Run BFG Comp T/A on the Vette 255/60 x 15....very good.
I think 245's are closer to original size if speedo reading is important to you...enjoy.. Dan68

I have run BFG's on my 72 since I bought it in 1986. I run 275/50/15 on the rear and 265/50/15 on the front. the tires last forever, hook great and do not slip in the rain. Combined with larger front and rear sway bars and polyurethene bushings and KYB shocks, it rides great and handles like a go cart.

I always thought I would by the BFG T/A They look right. But I went to Tire Rack to compare. I was suprised to find, according to them, their specs, and polling owners, the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 rated above the BFGs and several others for tires in their class of Performance All-Season. They were superior in every way except for an S speed rating instead of a T rating. I may need to rethink.....

i finally decided to go with the firestone firehawk indy 500's. They're very nice, i called tirerack and they said hands down buy the firestone over the bfg, they said they handle better, ride better, last longer, and have more traction, not to mention they were a little bit cheaper. I put mine on a couple weeks ago and i am very satisfied. My car actually has take off now that it doesn't sit and spin until 40 mph. They're quiet too. Thanks for all the help guys.

definitely like the tires, like i said, my car accellerates now. I bought the 255's 60 15's. My 454 is pushing 400 hp and the tires only spin for a little while now, then hold on because they hook up. They look good and balanced very well, no shaking whatsoever. Any other questions let me know. I haven't pushed the limits yet, but they seem to handle great, i haven't gotten an alignment yet either. I think i would give out before the tires did.
