Well, I'm just clear out of dough But I got so much done on the tail end of the baby
:
New TAs, monoleaf TRW spring, adjustable struts, rebuilt diff w/3.90s, body cushions all around.
Anyway, my wife knows no more about what I did here than what I did to put a new sink in the 1/2 bath!!!!!!
What does everyone else do in a 40 degree garage in the dead of winter
Regards team!

Luke,
As for my winter project.......
I sent my engine out for a rebuild, while I was there, I sent out the power steering stuff out to be rebuilt, while I was there, I sent the tranny out to be checked, while I was there, I took out the A/C box & replaced all components, while I was there, I sent the radiator out to be re-cored, while I was there, I removed the steering column, power brake booster & master cylinder.
Thinking that I was close to being finished, I figured that while I was there I'd remove the vacuum tank to paint, send out the relays to be rebuilt, and then I figured that while I was there, I'd change the heater core (had to remove the center gauges & ductwork) and I removed the wiper door too.
Now that I'm this far along, I might as well drop the rest of the dash and re-insulate the inner firewall, what the hell, I'm there already.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the new battery cables, tunnel insulation, A-arm flaps (w/ staples), all new rad & heater seals, new vacuum relays & hoses, cleaning & painting the frame & inner fenderwells & correct rebuilt starter & alternator.
That should be enough for the winter & part of the spring.
Good luck,
Anthony

Anthony,
While your at it, why don't you lift the body, paint the frame and install new body mounts.
Will it be ready for summer?
Front end rebuild. All new a-frame bushings, ball joints, tie rods, sleeves, new springs, shocks, stabilizer bushings,re-sealed the steering cylinder and valve, cleaned and painted everything.Bought a propane heater that brings the garage to t-shirt temps and oh yeah......killed a big pack rat who took up residence in the recycling bin.He must of been a C3 fan.
Suncountry,
I tend to go a little overboard to what I consider the side of caution. My goal is that once I complete a project, I hope never to revisit that part of the car again except with a sponge.
Last winter I tried to replaced a rear training arm and ended up replacing the entire rear suspension. While I was there, I found a leak in the gas tank, replaced it & found my tank sticker.
Currently, the engine is back together and home, and I have 95% of the parts I need to get her back together. I need a little better weather and some time to get the rest of the dash off and insulated and then clean the frame and get some paint on it.
I honestly think that the most annoying part will be trying to re-staple the new a-arm flaps and shroud seals.
I have almost convinced myself that I am having fun.
Take care,
Anthony

Oh yeah, my steeroinds kit is also sitting next to the car and the old system comes off during the week this week and the power rack goes on next Saturday
I'm psyched for this one!! Heard nothing but good about it.

Anthony I with ya. I tend to do the same thing. That's why I was teasing you. When I redid the interior, I was just going to replace the carpets and seat covers. Before I knew it, there was nothing left inside the car
. I had over 2 pages of parts to order along with a steering column sitting in the family room.
I was also just going to replace the rear wheel bearings. By the time I was done, the trailing were rebuilt, brake calipers rebuilt, new bushings, mono leaf spring and gas shocks. Oh well, I have nothing better to do during the winter.
Before you know it, these vettes will be better than new!
