I have started to clean and dress up my 1974 350. I purchased an edelbroch 2101 intake, a 2 peice aluminum timing chain cover, bolt dress up kit, fuel pump, balancer ect. I am thinking about using POR paint, anyone have any experience with this? Also I was wondering what improvements I should consider for my factory heads. Should I mill some off to create a little more compression, or should I just do a standard valve job on them. The motor has no issues at all and only 26000 original miles. but while I am this far what will give me a little added horsepower without changing anything drastic. I am not changing the cam or lifters at this time unless there is something out there that will still give good gas mileage without taking away the driveabilty compared to factory. If you have pics of your engines to give me ideas on things I should do please send them to me. Thanks for any help and suggestions you send my way. I plan on ordering another batch of parts this week and hope to start this project by the weekend.
